Today, we’re looking at the interview Ariel Helwani did with CSAC head, Andy Foster We dissect his answers, give some history of what the current iteration of the Ali Act does, the protections it offers, and how the proposed legislation changes or eliminates those protections. What was the reason Andy Foster gave for wanting to speak to Ariel Helwani and why do you think he really wanted to come on the show?
One of the reasons he said the bill is good and important is that it addresses 4, 6, and 8 round boxers. In what way does it address them and do you think that is a legitimate reason?
Foster heavily criticized the sanctioning orgs. What was his criticism and do you agree with him?
Foster repeated the talking point that the bill doesn’t change the Ali Act but instead offers alternatives that give the boxers the option of choosing a model they want. What is your view of this argument?
